Tournament Rules
 
  1. Dates: April 4th 5:00AM thru May 26th 6:00 PM
  2. All fish are to be weighed in at the following Marinas:
    a. Dog River Marina 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM
    b. Dauphin Island Marina 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM
    c. Fisherman's Discount 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM
    d. Gulf Shores Yacht Club & Marina 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM
    e. Orange Beach Marina 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM
    f. Outcast Marina 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM
    g. SanRoc Cay Marina 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM
    h. Scott's Landing 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM
    i. Zeke's Landing Marina 1:00 PM - 7:00 PM
    (additional weigh-in stations will be listed on the tournament website)
  3. IGFA Rules and regulations will govern this tournament and will be a guideline for the rules committee decisions.
  4. This is an all tackle category tournament. Anglers may use any line class up to 130 lbs.
  5. Single hook or two hook rigs can be used. Straight or circle hooks are acceptable. In the interest of conservation, no stainless steel hooks are allowed.
  6. Charterboat owners, captains and deck hands are not eligible for prizes while on a paid charter but are eligible on their off time.
  7. All anglers must present ticket at time of weigh-in.
  8. All boats must start and end trip through Alabama State Waters and not make landfall in between. (With the exception of Cobia.)
  9. All fish must be caught on rod and reel.
  10. Fish may be brought to a weigh station via boat, trailered boat, or vehicle.
  11. Only one prize per fish category, per angler.
  12. All participants are subject to a polygraph examination.
  13. All fish are subject to being checked with a toro meter.
  14. Any protests must be presented in writing to a tournament committee member within 24 hours of fish in question. No protests will be accepted after 7:00PM on May 26th , 2008. Decision of the tournament rules committee is final.
  15. ANY Modifications to a fish to alter the weight will be grounds for disqualification.

Cobia Rule Exceptions

  1. It is permitted to pass the rod to a second angler to bring in the fish. The angler reeling in the fish will be deemed to be the catching angler.
  2. Cobia may be weighed in at these additional weigh stations:
    • HarborWalk Marina – Destin, FL
    • Outcast Fishing & Hunting – Pensacola, FL
    • Half Hitch Tackle – Panama City, FL
