Red Snapper World Championship Details
 
Prizes Awarded in three categories:
  • Anglers
  • Small Boat (35 ft & under)
  • Large Boat (over 35 ft)
New Ford Truck for a new World Record Red Snapper !
 
Awards Banquet to be held August 15th at Zeke's Landing Marina
 

2008 Entry Fees:

Anglers: $10.00 per day ~ $125 for half tournament ~ $250 for the entire tournament
Big Boat: $500.00 for the entire tournament
Small Boat: $200.00 for the entire tournament

 
Orange Beach Alabama is the home of the 2008 Red Snapper World Championship where anglers can compete to win $150,000 in cash and prizes, and one lucky angler can win a Ford truck for a new World Record Red Snapper. The proceeds from the Red Snapper tournament as well as those from the Saltwater Series World Championship are directed towards improving and preserving the future of recreational saltwater fishing. In essence, participating anglers are actually fishing for the future of their sport. Last year's tournament donations, when combined with Alabama's 3-1 matching funds, generated over $250,000. In the last four years the tournament has raised almost $1,000,000.00. These funds are earmarked for the establishment, and continued maintenance, of the largest saltwater reef building program in the world.
